DY Patil Pimpri MBBS: fee structure 2026-27

From the college's "Fees structure for MBBS programme 2026-27" (dated 20 July 2026):

• Tuition (annual): Rs 29,00,000 (General); US $50,000 (NRI)
• Eligibility fee: Rs 2,00,000 (General); US $2,700 (NRI)
• Caution deposit: Rs 50,000
• Hostel, 3-seater non-AC room with mess: Rs 3,40,000 a year (General); US $4,600 (NRI)
• Billing period: course fees apply for four and a half years; the fifth instalment covers six months (Rs 14,50,000)
• When to pay: Phase I fees at admission, then each later phase within a month of it starting

Full-course General tuition: 4 × Rs 29 lakh + Rs 14.5 lakh = Rs 1.305 crore. The notice does not mention an annual increase, unlike KIMS Karad (+7% a year) and BVDU Pune (+5% a year). Ask the college to confirm in writing that the fee is fixed.

The refund policy is strict. Read it before you report

DPU's 2026-27 MBBS refund policy says:

• If you resign or upgrade within MCC's rules: 100% of fees refunded, minus a Rs 10,000 processing fee
• If you cancel after the period in MCC's notification: the entire course fee is charged

Seats in October 2026

MCC's clear-vacancy list for the 2026 UG stray round (15 October) showed 12 General (self-financed) MBBS seats at DY Patil Pimpri. These seats were allotted through MCC's stray round (results on 19 October, reporting until 26 October 2026). Late rounds like this are the real "direct admission" opportunity, and they need a NEET score and an MCC registration.

DY Patil Pimpri vs other Pune-region deemed colleges

• BVDU Pune: Rs 25.96 lakh plus a 10% development fee (Circular 495), rising 5% a year
• KIMS Karad: Rs 25 lakh in 2026-27, rising 7% a year
• DY Patil Pimpri: Rs 29 lakh, with no stated increase. It is the highest first-year figure of the three, but the gap narrows in later years.

For NRI families, DY Patil Pimpri's US $50,000 equals KIMS Karad's and is well below BVDU Pune's US $85,050 plus Rs 1.12 lakh.

Management quota and direct admission: the facts

• Management quota: DY Patil's paid General seats (MCC Self-Financed Merit seats) and NRI seats are its management quota. MCC allots them on NEET-UG merit at the fees above.
